For sailors, the coastline offers a unique combination of desert and mountains with an occasional palm tree oasis. It isn't easy to get here and that is part of what makes it different. Most of the time you will have some of the prettiest anchorages available anywhere all to yourself.

There is no way you can get this kind of sailing experience on the east or the west coast of America. Many of my students have gone on to buy their own boats now and actively sail in San Carlos! It is a little hard to get to San Carlos but well worth the extra effort.
